Passive Income Trial – Forex Trading

Over the last few days I have been using a demo account with a couple of Forex traders to test a couple  different strategies, copy trading and the use of EA’s (expert advisor) I am still getting my head around the different settings that you can adjust on the EA and how they will effect my trading results.

I have had some very good trading results using the social trading method where by the system automatically copies a trader that I have set, some traders and EA’s charge a fee for there service but there are also a number of free services out there to get you started. be careful with the free services as most of them focus on one or two pairs and may only buy or sell.

The way I am looking at this is that if I was to go out and have a night at a blackjack table I could drop $100 and maybe $50 on roulette or the pokies (slot machines) so why not give trading a go and spend the night at home instead. On the flip side I am also looking at the possibility of opening an affiliate account with a couple of these traders to potentially increase my earnings even more. The question from there is how would I spend my affiliate income, do I reinvest into trading or spend it elsewhere?

Over the next couple of days I will open a real account and start trading I will keep you all up to date with the results

Forex Trading

I am considering Forex Trading using algorithms based on past history to place automated trades, this is all new to me but with there being a whole heap of information out there and some really positive reviews out there I figure it would be worth giving it a go. My plan is start/risk a very small balance so to find a broker with a minimum deposit of $100 and just trade with that and let my balance and as a result trade amounts and profits grow. Should this plan work I would be looking to not touch any profit from forex trading for the next 6-9 months to hopefully have me earning a solid 1-2k per week if not more.

The brokers I am looking at are

https://www.hqbroker.com

https://www.avatrade.com.au

They both have their pros and cons I was originally going to go with HQbroker I created an account and have been waiting for over a week for one of there experienced brokers to call me to walk me with through how to setup the automated trading. I have contacted there customer service 4 times and keep getting told they will call but I have had no call yet just to be told they are backed up at the moment.

Avatrade look really good but they do not provide you with the algorithm you have to find or develop your own which is a major thing for me, that being said though they do have copy trade option where you can select from a number of real life traders and have there trades copied live. Avatrade is also a whole lot more regulated which is very appealing to me. I guess I will do a little more research to see which one I go with or potentially even find a 3rd company to add to my forex trading list

If you have any suggestions or tips for me here I would love to hear them as I am keen to give forex trading a go very soon

Income Generation

As you know my goal is to long term make a living on line which many people do it just takes a whole heap of hard work initially. For this site we currently have adsense which is earning us a few cents a day and on a good day upwards of a whole dollar. Income generation and ideally a passive income at that is a huge goal here and a result a big focus for me

We are working hard to be able to monetize out Youtube channel but we still need another 800 + subscribers to get to that point so it is some ways off. We are starting to discuss creating some original content and also potentially giving the channel some focus as with the website here it is all very general at the moment.

We are looking into affiliate marketing and are not far away from adding some links into posts but once again we need more traffic to make this a viable option

We had uploaded a number of Android apps to the playstore until our developer account was terminated for breaching policies. No information provided on how we breached or warnings given just an email to say it was terminated and do not create another one or we will terminate that account as well so back to the drawing board there.

Other options being considered are Daily Motion which appears to have little to no minimum requirements to be able to monetize your account. That being said it doesn’t have no where near the traffic or the interaction that you tube does so it may interesting to compare running the two side by side.

We are also considering starting a go fund me campaign to raise some money for the upcoming yearly hosting bill and to purchase some new equipment to help us film videos or maybe start a podcast. Do you think people would contribute?

At the moment the focus is on driving traffic from as many places as possible, a big focus is social networks. So posting our links there, encouraging our readers to like and share our content. In addition to that new auto ping info has been added to the site to let search engines know anytime we have new content to get us indexed faster and by more places. We are also placing a significant amount of effort in commenting on other websites to get our name out there more. I am also looking for some guest contributers to write a post or two here on Mates Madness to improve our reach into other social groups.

We are also spending some turning joining Facebook groups and alike for tips and ideas to help improve us. I recently came across Shout Me Loud which has been a great help in regards to getting tips to improve Mates Madness and also guide Kieran and myself in the right direction. I still have plenty or articles to read but I will be definitely spending a fair bit more time on the Shout Me Loud  website over the coming weeks and months. If you have a blog or thinking about building one check them out.

Over the next few weeks you may notice some changes to the site as we work to optimize it to improve reader experience and engagement. If you have made it this far please share this and comment below it will really help us grow.

Thanks for your support.

Cheers

Pokemon Apps -our new apps to the Playstore

With the massive world wide following that Pokemon has we decided to jump on board. Myself personally I have never been a real big fan but Kieran is right into Pokemon as are a few other people I know so it seemed like a good niche even if it is saturated to base a few new apps on.

The first of the new apps launched is a Pokemon puzzle/quiz app where you need to rearrange the pieces to reveal the Pokemon and then name which Pokemon it is from the letters provided. The game came out pretty well, the puzzle side of things adds an extra little challenge on top of just needing to name the pictured Pokemon which for many die hard fans should not be to complicated.

The 2nd app has not turned out as well as I had hoped as yet but all the same the decision was made to realease it on the play store. This app is a Pokemon version of the classic Mahjong game with all of the tiles featuring different Pokemon pictures. There are two different sets of Pokemon pictures used throughout the levels you just need to get far enough into the game to get to use the 2nd set of tiles. My mum used to love playing Mahjong so it felt good to have potentially made a game that she would have played even if Pokemon wasn’t her thing.

There a couple more Pokemon games yet to hit the play store which should hopefully go live in the next few days

The first of these being a match 3 game featuring Pokemon characters where you simply need to line up 3 or more of the same character to score. Lining up 2 groups of 3 at once or lines of 4 or 5 help you to score more and earn extra moves to extend your game longer.

The final game in the last stages of testing is a Pokemon word search where you need to fondness the names of the Pokemon hidden amongst the random letters. The game has easy medium and hard options and 4+ different sets of words to choose from.

If you are a Pokemon fan please check these out and leave a Playstore review for them.

If you have a suggestion for a niche that we should base a group of games around please leave it in the comments below.

Mates Madness Update

I thought it was about time we shared an update about the site, what we have achieved so far and our plans for the coming months. After almost 3 full months in we are tracking nicely we have just over 70 pieces of content up and are slowly starting to see organic search traffic arrive which is a real positive. We have also recently had an increase in social media generated traffic as a result of your shares and likes so thank you very much for your ongoing support.

Our Youtube channel is also growing and now has 50+ subscribers and counting. Getting quality content on our YouTube channel is a big focus for us over the next month so stayed tuned there.

Semi external to this website we also have 13+ apps in Google Play check them out now and show your support there will a review. For apple users we are not yet on the App Store but it is a goal in the future we just don’t have a time frame on this as it requires a few things that we don’t have in place at the moment.

From an income point of view we are averaging about $5 per month across all platforms in total with the majority coming from the website here and small amounts from our apps. The apps though have shown a solid increase in downloads and are now slowly starting to produce some consistent earning over the past few weeks, I would suggest these numbers are slowly going to continue to increase overtime into a nice passive income as we get more apps up and get better at marketing them.

You may have noticed no weekly wrap posts over the last few weeks and this is due to us making the decision to ends both the weekly and monthly wraps for the time being as we were not seeing significant value from these weekly posts. That being said should people request them or traffic have a decline in the coming weeks this may be revisited.

Other regular posts have taken off quite well and appear to be very popular these posts being Blast from the past and Video of the week. If you would like to nominate your video for video of the week reply to the most recent video of the week post at anytime or hit us up on twitter@matesmadness .

Moving forward we are looking to incorporate product reviews both written and video versions initially using products purchased for the site or to be used in videos. These reviews will be honest feedback either good or bad and at times will contain affiliate links to further improve our income streams. Should you have a product you would like us to review reach out to us to on twitter @matesmadness to discuss.

Primarily the focus over the next month is content covering games/apps posts and our own videos, we are having a big push to get to 500 Youtube subscribers  and your support by subscribing to our channel downloading rating and reviewing our apps and commenting on posts here on Mates Madness is a required to help us to continue to grow. If you have suggestions/requests for content let us know below

Top inspirational and Motivational Sites

Where do you get your motivation from, your inspiration from, the drive to keep going to achieve your goals, to even know that your goals are possible. With so many fraudulent so called experts out there who really are just trying to push there affiliate links onto you where do you start? Whose email lists do you join for genuine help instead of just a regular email of buy this it will change your life. Below I’m going to share with you my top sites/podcasts that I listen to for online guidance to help build my online presence covering this site, the next projects in the background and our android apps.

For me the number site I get confidence in the fact that I can succeed online is Smart Passive Income Pat Flynn and his team are great that let you know that anything is possible online and then set out to provide you with the tools and proof that it can be done. That other big draw card for me about SPI and Pat is the fact that although he emphasises hard work is required he isn’t telling you on his site or podcasts to not sleep and work through the night or miss out on time with the family. In fact Pat is about the opposite family time is important to him he is always letting us know little things he is doing to keep himself healthy so for me this makes SPI and Ask Pat even more valuable resources to me. If you have not heard Pat’s podcasts I highly recommend them. How Transparent Pat is with everything he tells you is really comforting at know point do you feel like you are being pushed in one direction or hustled like you can feel from some of the other helpful entrepreneurs out there, Pats income reports show you both how much you can make but also how much he actually spends each month to make that kind of money.

Now to go one from 1 extreme to the other, another great example for me that anything is possible is Dude Perfect. These guys show you that with hard work anything is possible and that you can make money and have a whole heap of fun doing it. The reach and the variety of audience these guys have is phenomenal check out some of the quotes on there press page  to see what I mean. The Dude Perfect You tube channel is incredible the hours of practice and filming that must put into each video would be insane. Dude Perfect have grown on there success to the point where they have there own merch line, can you imagine the feeling these guys would have gotten the first time they saw a fan wearing there clothes. I would love to here about all of the behind the scenes stuff that goes on the planning the failures potentially even injuries from some of the stunts they do. Maybe Pat Flynn could interview them for SPI… Check out the first Dude Perfect video below to see how far they have come

Another podcast that I like to listen to is the daily Marketing School Podcast with Neil Patel and Eric Siu, The thing I like about this is hearing the different opinions or preferred methods of both guys. The topics covered and advice given varies from whats need for beginners to information that will even benefit a long term internet entrepreneur. There is a whole heap of great information is short spaces of time and I mean who cant find 5 minutes each day to learn and develop themselves.

As mentioned above I stay away from the so called guru’s who tell you to work through the night, that whilst you are sleeping other people are making money. I don’t see the point in working hard to make a living if my health is going to suffer potentially for the long term and a result I’m not able to benefit from it later. The next thing many of these so called guru’s tell you is concentrate on work and there will be time for family later when you can kick back and relax when the money has come in. What they don’t tell you is that if you push people away they may not be there when you are ready for them so keep that in mind. If you don’t have the people around you that matter will the success be worth it, will it be as sweet celebrating by yourself.

Anyway check out the above mentioned sites they have been a big driving help for me Pat Flynn also has some really great guests that he interviews in his SPI Podcast many of them are a wealth of knowledge and inspiration.

At some point in the future once our apps are up and running nicely and we this site ticking along well I would love to setup a podcast and I so I am sure that I will be following Pats Advice on this

Let me know your points of online inspiration and motivation in the comments below

Cheers

April Wrap

Hi All

So we have just finished our first full month since relaunching Mates Madness from scratch so I thought I would give you a quick April wrap up. As expected its been a slow build but things are coming along nicely. Throughout the month we have had 140 different visitors many of them coming back more than once. These visitors have viewed the 28 new pieces of content added to the site which contained about 15 different videos. although through the month it did not seem like we got that many different posts up its very pleasing showing that we averaged just under one new piece of content each day.

Our most popular post for the month was Kieran’s AFL evolution DLC post with 43 views and our 2nd most popular post for the month is actually only 5 days old “New Android App – Astronaut Space Walk” This post has had 30 views.

19 comments were made against posts with 3 of those comments coming from readers just like yourself which is great to see people already getting involved across the Mates Madness website. I am hoping for this number to double during May. The next target is to get some comments on our Youtube channel and double our number of subscribers there from 8 to 16. The overall goal is to get to 1,000 subscribers as that is one of the requirements needing to be meet to monetize the channel which is a clear goal for us.

In regards to Android app development we now have 10 apps up on the Playstore with about 30 installs across all 10 apps, we have earnt about $3.50 from these apps which is great starting platform. Across all income channels we earnt $6 for the month of April which is no where near anything to write home about but it does give us some indication of what is working, what needs work and what to move away from.

Goals for the month of May

  • Get 10 quality videos up 5 of which are to feature Kieran or myself
  • Get 10 new apps on the Playstore
  • Get 31 new posts here on the Mates Madness website (1 per day)
  • Begin working with an affiliate program such as Amazon
  • 10 twitter posts
  • 25% increase in income
  • 50% increase in comments from visitors to Mates Madness
  • Youtube channel to 20 subscribers
  • 1 new recurring theme developed
  • 50 app downloads
  • 5 app reviews

Wish us luck, even better support us, leave a comment, search Mates Madness on the Playstore and download and test one of our apps, subscribe to our Youtube channel. You may not think you are doing much but every little bit of support helps and we really do appreciate it.

Cheers

Matt

Weekly Wrap 8th April 2018

Another week is coming to close and its been a bit of a tough week for the Mates Madness team which is clearly evident by some of the content shared here this week. For me personally it was the last week of work prior to going on annual leave so each day I started to go more and more into holiday mode as a result getting out of bed in the morning got harder and harder. Now finally I have a few days at home then off interstate to Melbourne for a few days for a quick family get away, Whilst I there I will try to share what we get up to with you all. Damo had his own challenges which he has been going through for some time and more than likely some of that stuff will continue for some time but he will get through it. Kieran opened up and shared some of his struggles with losing weight and just how hard day to day life can be, I know much of the inspiration for this post comes from the tough time he and his family have had over the past 4 or so months. Kieran makes a great point in that post about how important it is to ask the people in your life especially your mates ARE YOU OK?

We ended the week with a day out at the footy followed by a few Jacks and Coke then catching up with Damo for a bite to each and talk crap for a while we did take a quick bit of pregame footage from the footy and added to our Youtube channel.

From an income point of view our passive income streams are yet to kick in really with know new apps uploaded to the play store, check out our games currently on the play store here. With only a few new downloads and and know clicks both in app and on this site all income came from impressions and was only 1 cent down from the 17 cents earnt last week. That is ok though we know this is a long term strategy we are not expecting to become overnight millionaires on anything like that. If you do download any of our games though we would love to get some feedback from you by way of a review and comments here on Mates Madness.

Hopefully the next week is a bit more up beat for everyone and I manage to get my old Android phone charging so I am able to take some screen shots of new apps to enable me to get them up on the play store.

Until next time

Matt

Weekly Wrap

Well another week has come to close pretty much our first full week on the new relaunched Mates Madness, so I thought I we would start providing a bit of a weekly wrap up of what go on.

This week as you have seen we launched some app on the Play Store Match 3 World Edition being the first and in the end 5 more went up. To this point they have note been very successful having a combined total of 8 downloads from the Play Store. From an income point of view we made a little 17 cents with over 1000 impressions and 1 click which is start but still shows we have a long way to go.

Traffic here at Mates Madness has doubled to up to 50 hits per day already which is a great sign, to keep this trend going up we need your support though, please share any content on your socials that you find interesting or that you think someone you know will enjoy.

We have also launched Bidvertiser adds here on Mate Madness as these were only just put in place late in the week we have only generated just over 100 impressions and as a result no income that is showing up at this point. I am not fan at the moment of Bidvertiser due to there reporting but with the site being new and limited traffic we think they are a good starting point but will be working towards Adsense integration.

Around the world of sport the NBL here in Australia came to a close with Melbourne winning the championship beating Adelaide in game 5 check out some stats here on Kieran’s post. I didn’t watch the game so I cant comment on what let Adelaide down or Melbourne did well but the home court advantage over there has really helped Melbourne over Adelaide this year.

While that game was going on Damo came over and we gave my new darts setup its first real workout which was good but I just need to learn to hit those doubles I was in winning positions all 3 games of 501 and only took out the first game after that I could hit a double in probably something like 30+ tries to win. Maybe today I might practice throwing at doubles I mean it cant hurt considering I need to them to win and I hate losing.

So for the weekly wrap that’s pretty much it, moving forward for the week ahead (a short week at work) I am hoping to get up on the play store and 3-5 apps and at least that much content on here for you all to check out.

Cheers

Android App 2 – Justice League Slots

Hi All

I want to share with you my new app, I wanted to an app with a theme that I enjoy and as a result I used the Justice League as that theme. Now I am a huge Flash fan so it was great to be able to use that character in an app. I did resist the  urge to make him the jackpot though and instead went with a Justice League leader in Batman which I am sure Kieran will be very happy about.

The game feature the logo’s of some of DC’s greatest superhero’s Batman, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Green Lantern and Red Tornado. Now I have taken a screen video in a little bit of a slow motion capture to ensure you get a good look a the logo’s.

Justice League Slots Game - Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Red Tornado

At the current time the game is not available on the Play Store but if you want to give it ago you can download it here

Let me know what you think of Justice League Slots – please don’t be to hard on the adds that’s how we are paying for this site.

Cheers
