Fire Tricks – Video of the week

Everyone for this weeks Video of the week I chose a video of something Matt and I have talk about doing and maybe making a video our self

My favourite trick in this video would have to be the first trick making the flame of the lighter a lot bigger then when you get the lighter the first time because how many time would you use a lighter and the flame be too small then you want it to be at least with this trick you will be able to make the flame to the size of your desire and take it back to the size of the flame when you first got because it was to big to use.

How cool is the third trick using three match sticks tying tin foil around the top of the three matches using a lighter on the tin foil and making it turn into a little rocket. If Matt and I were to make a video using some of these tricks or some of our own this would have to be one i would like to try and so you how we did it.

Another trick I have always wanted to do is light a tealight candle and put on a plate with some liquid on the plate and putting a glass over the top of the candle and getting the liquid up the glass from the plate. The reason it does that is because the oxygen gets taking away from the candle and the liquid go up the the glass because the candle is trying to get some oxygen.

What was your favourite trick and do you think you would try any of these tricks and empress some of your family or friends or just save as a party trick to show what you can do.

Until next time

Cricket Classic catches- Video of the week

Everyone for this weeks video of the week I choose something Matt and I have talked about to do our self maybe not to this extreme but something similar

My favourite catch and one I would like to attempt is the first with him diving to his right and getting it one handed it is probably one of the hardest catches to attempt and make it’s because it can fall short and hit the ground or when you take the catch and come back down on you arm it can fall out of you hand but you can also injure your shoulder if you don’t fall properly on to the ground from taking the catch.

The catch I like is the guy jumping to get it and palming it down to the other guy and him having to dive to get the ball

My favourite ever classic catch came in last year BBL from the Adelaide strikers I really enjoyed it because of how much effort Ben Laughlin had to do when running to get the catch but also make sure he doesn’t fall over the Boundary rope and also Jake Weatherald backing him up by also running in and trying to stop a boundary in Ben wasn’t able to get catch and drop it.

but how hard must of that been for Ben to make the catch and throw it back 30 mitres to the running Weatherald to slow down and help his teammate with the catch and help his team.

thanks for reading and if you would like to see Matt and I attempt some of these or do some of our own I would like to hear from you

5 of my Favourite Fast Cars

Everyone I thought I would talk about what I think are my five favourite fastest cars. Maybe you might think the same as me or you might think a car needs to be on the list. This list is no particular order but here goes my top 5 fast cars

Car number 1 on the list is the McLaren F1 it can reach a top speed of 387 KMH (241 MPH) it is also equipped with a 6.1 litre BMW M V12 engine and it produces 670 Horse Power but your all probably wondering how fast does it goes from 0 to 100 KMH it can do that in just 3.2 seconds but one of these cars sole in 2013 for $8.47 million US.

Speedster number 2 the Lamborghini Aventador the top speed record is 354 KMH (220 MPH) it can go for 0 to 100 KMH in just under 3 seconds at 2.9 if I was going to do a drag race this would probably be the car I would chose because it can a quarter mile in just 10.6 seconds the Horse Power on this car is pretty great at 690.

Sweet ride number 3 is the younger sibling of the Aston martin db9 it the Aston Martin db11 this is another car with a v12 engine it’s a 5.2 lite twin turbo v12 and the engine is called AE31 making the db11 the first ever turbocharged car Aston Martin has ever made the engine provide the car with 600 hp and it can from 0 to 100 KMH in 3.8 seconds. And it has a top speed of 322 KMH (200 MPH) and it can do a quarter mile in 11.7 second.

Insanely Fast number 4 is  Koenigsegg Agera it currently holds the world record form going to 0-400-0 KMH in just 36.44 seconds which is pretty damn fast I reckon it might take a couple of years before this record is beaten it goes form 0 to 100 in just 2.8 seconds is fitted with a 5.0 litre twin-turbo v8 engine which has 927 hp this is also a car I would like to own or at least be able to drive in the future.

Rounding out the 5 fast cars is the awesome Ferrari LaFerrari which can reach a top speed of 349 KMH (217 MPH) and go from 0 to 100 in just over 2 seconds at 2.4 also Ferrari has claimed that it can go around it Fiorano test Circuit in 1.19.70 which is faster then any of the other road legal car they have produced. It also has a 6.3 litre v12 engine and also has 799 horse power which means it has the most horsepower out all the cars that I have said are my favourite fastest cars.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it and I hope to hear about what you favourite car is on the list or ever

Video of the Week

Everyone for the second video of the week I found a challenge type video that I know Matt and myself would like to try it and upload to our youtube channel which you can find here https://www.youtube.com

You can see in the video I found are just some mates kicking around the football in an AFL related challenge with you trying to not get the letters of the word HORSE which means you try and get a goal and try not get any letters of the word horse. Courtesy of the video goes to Dylan Holt and you can check out his youtube channel by clicking the link here https://www.youtube.com

My favourite shot in the whole video would have to be the dribble kick on the boundary to get it in and try not get the first letter of Horse this is probably one of the hardest kick to do if you haven’t done it before I haven’t done this shot but I reckon if I practice it I will be able to get it. I reckon the hardest shot other the shot dribble kick from the boundary would have to be the opposite foot torpedo kick. The reason why is because how many times would you use your other foot to kick the football let alone do a torpedo kick.

Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the second post of video of the week leave a comment if you would like to see Matt and myself try this challenge. Also, in that comment why not say what your favourite shot is and why that shot is your favourite shot in the video.

If you would like to see a type of video for video of the week I would like to hear you thoughts and maybe make them a video of the week.

What are some of your favourite things to do in your free time?

Everyone I thought I would ask you another question that is easy to answer what somethings you like are to do in your free time

Some of the things l like to do in my free time is watch some movies that have not seen before and I haven’t had any time to watch the movies until this free time. Most of the movies I watch are comedy or action movies the most recent movie that I have watched in my free time is Black Panther as I didn’t go to the cinemas to watch I thought I would just wait for it to get released on blu ray or DVD to watch I’m not going to give away any spoilers for the movie if any people that haven’t watched it yet but I really enjoyed the movie.
Another thing I like to do in my free time is play video games and the types of video games I play vary from time to time so one time I might play sport types games like NBA or Cricket and another time I might play simulation or strategy games the game I’m play at the moment in my down time is Car Mechanic simulator 2018 which it start with a small garage and upgrade it and your skills as well so you will start by unscrewing nuts and bolts at one bolt in 3 seconds and be unscrewing them later in the game at 1 second.

I would also like to hear what you do in your down time do you do the similar to me or do something completely different and what do you like to do the most in your free time.

thanks for reading this post and hope you have enjoyed it and also reading about what I do in my free time.

Kieran’s Batman Wish list

Hey

Everyone as you know I’m a massive batman fan so I thought I would do a Wish list of some of the batman items I would like to get in the future to add to my Collection.

You can see above some of the items on my Wish list that I would like to get I will just need to save my money up for them and I will hopefully have most of the items when I’m at least 30 my favourite item on the Wish list is the probably the Batarang 3d light with it sticking out of the wall like Batman has thrown it at the wall.

I also like the Bat signal Desk lamp because how many people do you reckon would have the own Bat signal, I don’t think a lot of people would have one and I will hopefully become one to have a bat signal desk lamp.

another item I really like is the 1:32 scale bat mobile because it is small enough to fit in front of my 1:4 scale Batman  and it will add another Batman item to my Collection.

You can see with the picture below of a full-size batman statue and the height of it I don’t know how much it is but it one of my dreams to actually own a full-size batman statue as it will go with my 1:4 scale batman that I have and it would just add to my batman Collection.

If you would like to see what I already have in my Batman Collection you can do so by going to a previous post I’ve written about what’s in my collection which is http://kierans-batman-collection/

Thank you for reading and hopefully you enjoyed my post about my batman Wish list and I hope to have some of these items by at least the end of the year or the start of next year. I will keep you updated on how my Collection is going at the end of the year and you will hopefully see the difference from now and the end of the year.

Whats Your Favourite Movie or Movie Series

Hey

Everyone I thought I would ask you all a question about what your favourite movie or movie series is.

As I went to do some shopping on Sunday the 6th of May I went into a shop to see what movies and maybe games I could buy and I found the Lethal Weapon collection on Blu-ray with all 4 movies for $20 and I thought that it was a good  bargain. I have seen all 4 of the movies but I was a lot younger then what I am now so maybe I will see some things in the movies that I didn’t see when I first watched them.

My favourite movie series would have the be the Fast and Furious Franchise as I have watched them about 15 times each, I have found something that I missed each time when watching them for the second time. Sometimes I find an error such as once I noticed a green screen in one shot that they forgot to take out of the movie and other times I pick up little facts which help me make sense of a past of future scene.

Is there any movies that you have watched a lot of times and saw something you hadn’t when you watched it the first time and thought that was something I didn’t see last time watch the movie.

Also, is there any movie that you have to watch when you not filling to well or just want a laugh. A movie I have to watch when I’m not felling to well or just need a laugh is the Bench Warmers it just so funny and it has one my favourite actors in it David Spade I also watch Happy Gilmore as well because of it having Adam Sandler in it and it was before he started making some not so good movies.

April Wrap

Hi All

So we have just finished our first full month since relaunching Mates Madness from scratch so I thought I would give you a quick April wrap up. As expected its been a slow build but things are coming along nicely. Throughout the month we have had 140 different visitors many of them coming back more than once. These visitors have viewed the 28 new pieces of content added to the site which contained about 15 different videos. although through the month it did not seem like we got that many different posts up its very pleasing showing that we averaged just under one new piece of content each day.

Our most popular post for the month was Kieran’s AFL evolution DLC post with 43 views and our 2nd most popular post for the month is actually only 5 days old “New Android App – Astronaut Space Walk” This post has had 30 views.

19 comments were made against posts with 3 of those comments coming from readers just like yourself which is great to see people already getting involved across the Mates Madness website. I am hoping for this number to double during May. The next target is to get some comments on our Youtube channel and double our number of subscribers there from 8 to 16. The overall goal is to get to 1,000 subscribers as that is one of the requirements needing to be meet to monetize the channel which is a clear goal for us.

In regards to Android app development we now have 10 apps up on the Playstore with about 30 installs across all 10 apps, we have earnt about $3.50 from these apps which is great starting platform. Across all income channels we earnt $6 for the month of April which is no where near anything to write home about but it does give us some indication of what is working, what needs work and what to move away from.

Goals for the month of May

  • Get 10 quality videos up 5 of which are to feature Kieran or myself
  • Get 10 new apps on the Playstore
  • Get 31 new posts here on the Mates Madness website (1 per day)
  • Begin working with an affiliate program such as Amazon
  • 10 twitter posts
  • 25% increase in income
  • 50% increase in comments from visitors to Mates Madness
  • Youtube channel to 20 subscribers
  • 1 new recurring theme developed
  • 50 app downloads
  • 5 app reviews

Wish us luck, even better support us, leave a comment, search Mates Madness on the Playstore and download and test one of our apps, subscribe to our Youtube channel. You may not think you are doing much but every little bit of support helps and we really do appreciate it.

Cheers

Matt

Weekly Wrap 28th April 2018

Even though this week was a short week at work it felt like a long one, getting back into the work groove after a few weeks off was tough, that being said I still made time to get on Mates Madness early in the week to share another of the videos taken whilst I was in Melbourne on my family holiday. Check out the active animals at the Melbourne Zoo.

Kieran shared his overall Batman collection, there is some pretty cool stuff there. Do you guys have a favourite from his current Batman Collection

Kieran and I also conducted a little bit of mad science (see the pun, Mates Madness) we dropped a whole heap of different lollies into Coca Cola (Coke) to check out the different reactions so pretty cool and some were fizzers.

As mentioned above it was short work week with Anzac Day falling mid week on a Wednesday, Lest We Forget. A day of acknowledgement of a fallen soldiers a day where we reflect on the significant sacrifices made by the Australian and New Zealand soldiers to enable us to have the life that we have today.

Mates Madness launched a new app and probably the best app that we have made so far Astronaut Space Walk a flappy bird clone but instead of an Astronaut dodging Super Mario style tubes you guide an Astronaut between the satellites on his space walk, its no where near as easy as it looks.

Kieran shared his AFL fantasy team and explained some of his reasons behind his selections and his lack of trades, personally with Ablett being injured for a few weeks now I would have traded him out or at least moved him to the bench, there are also some really good new players in the AFL system this year getting games already so I have made some changes to my bench players before prices went up and grabbed some really good bargains on those players but its looks like he has missed out on that.

That’s where the site but not where my week ended, Friday afternoon I found out one of the guys who works at my youngest daughters child care plays footy and his team the Modbury Hawks forfeited the week before because they were short of players. I have not played football (Aussies Rules) in 8-9 years about this time every year I get itchy feet and consider going back out to play somewhere. This information about Modbury has given me itchy feet. Modbury’s ground is only 5 minutes from home and they are also the Hawks which is a big selling point for me. The team he plays in is the D grade so the bottom end competition and considering how long its been since I have played and how unfit I am its the perfect place for me to have a go. Yesterday to help me decide I went out to watch the team play (the C grade had a bye so a few players dropped down for the day giving the them a full side). The team looks good there are a few good players and also a few not so good players who are just out there to have a bit of fun like what I am thinking of doing. This is encouraging for me because it means I wont look out of place while I find a bit of fitness and allowing my skill level to gradually improve over the course of the season. So I have something to think about, if I am going to play I need to make a decision by Wednesday as I will need to go buy some boots and stuff and train and meet the team Thursday night to give me a shot at playing this coming weekend. I will keep you updated with my decision and if I decide to play I will try to arrange either Kieran or someone else to come watch to try to capture some footage of how I go.

Thats a wrap folks

Matt

Weekly Wrap 22nd April 2018

A more up beat week over the last 7 days, a few shares from my holiday last weekend (more to come next week). The first was my footy footage of the Hawks V Melbourne

A great game to watch all be it freezing cold, even Iron Man made and appearance to promote an  Avengers event in Melbourne. Throughout the rest of the week to be honest I lazed around trying to relax and enjoy the the rest of my holidays from work which didn’t quite go to plan with plenty of house work needing to be done.

I also shared with you all footage from Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium a place my girls aged 6 and 3 loved there was so many different marine animals to see and the tanks were fantastic you got a great view of most of them, Laila my eldest loved the penguins but there were plenty of other fish to see

We would love for you to subscribe to our you tube channel, Kieran got a hair cut and showed us his new do he was also quite excited when his team Geelong got up over Port Adelaide

Something we didn’t discuss here on the Mates Madness website but was a pretty big effort in sport (shared on our twitter account) was Oakland A’s left handed pitching pitching the first no hitter of the 2018 MLB season and the first for the Boston no hit game for the Boston Red Sox since Aprill 22 1993 25 years ago.

So if you have not done so follow us on Twitter, subscribe to our You Tube channel and share this post on your socials and any other post here on Mates Madness that you enjoy.

Matt
